As usual, we had a wonderful Christmas! Christmas Eve ties with the Fourth of July for Edington madness, and this year was no different. It was our "smaller" year with Tom and Amy (and kids) and Jim and Kristin going to see the other side of their family. We missed them, but decided to party on anyhow! :)
We always have a silly "talent" competition. This year, we were not the stars, but my brother Steve sure was! He and Gina put together a skit inspired by Julia Childs where Gina used her hands as his. It was HILARIOUS and won the big prize. He also sang "Dredel, Dredel, Dredel" with my sister Kelli whilst bedecked with golden beards. Good times!
As always, my parents had a wonderful meal. We played chimes, had a nativity performed by the kids and sang lots of Christmas songs (none of this is in the correct order, but you get the point:). There was the traditional pinata and then the reading of "The Night Before Christmas" by Grandma Deaver.
It was a wonderful night and the kids had such a wonderful time enjoying the traditions our family has grown up on. We hope your Christmas was WONDERFUL as well!
